STAR BUSINESS CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN BACK TO SUPPORT LOCALS

Local businesses are encouraged to get into the festive spirit early by registering for this year's Glow2680 Star Business and Shopper Christmas Campaign.
Registration for businesses opens this week, with entry forms, boxes, stars and other promotional material available from Monday 21 October 2024.
Running throughout November and the second week of December 2024, this campaign offers customers the chance to win a $500 grand prize or one of five $100 runner-up vouchers when they shop at a participating Star Business. The vouchers can be redeemed at the business where the entry form was submitted.
The aim of the campaign is to inspire residents to shop locally, helping to invigorate the Griffith economy during the festive season.
As part of the broader Glow2680 promotion, this initiative gives Star Businesses a chance to boost sales while offering shoppers the opportunity to win a Christmas bonus to spend in-store. The campaign will be promoted on social media, including Instagram, and businesses are encouraged to use the hashtag #Glow2680.
How businesses can get involved:
• Register your business: Receive a Glow2680 Star Business sticker, entry forms, boxes and other promotional material.
• Decorate your store: Light up your shop window with festive decorations.
• Share on social media: Send photos of your window display to Council or use the #Glow2680 on your social media platforms.
• Engage shoppers: Hand out entry forms to customers who spend over $15, with one entry per transaction.
• Join the Sidewalk Sale: Register your business for the Christmas Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, 7 December 2024, via the Tourism Hub.
How shoppers can get involved:
• Show your local shop some love: Visit participating Star Businesses from Monday, 4 November to Thursday, 12 December 2024, and look for the Glow2680 Star Business Sticker and poster.
• Enter to win: Fill out an entry form after spending $15 in-store (one entry per spend) to go in the draw to win 1st prize $500, and 5 x $100 vouchers at the participating Star Business that you shopped at.
• Don’t miss the sale: Get your Christmas shopping done during the Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, 7 December 2024.
