CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON KIDMAN WAY, SOUTH OF HANWOOD

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on Kidman Way for bridge maintenance work near Hanwood.

Urgent essential maintenance will be carried out by Transport for NSW on the bridge over Benerembah Channel, about 10 kilometres south of Hanwood near the Kidman Way intersection with North Kooba Settlers Road, to provide a safer and stronger bridge for motorists.

Work will be carried out between 6am and 6pm on weekdays from Monday 26 August to Friday 6 September, weather permitting.

Single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place during work hours. The bridge will re-open to two-way traffic outside of work hours with a reduced speed limit of 60 km/h.

Motorists are advised to allow an extra five minutes’ travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control for the safety of workers and motorists.

Traffic control will assist over-sized vehicles through the work area.
