Join us at 12:15pm for an art talk by Raymond Wholohan (gallery curator) that will provide insight into the current exhibition Sophie Chauncy: Trails and giving you a chance to learn more about the art and the artist. Can't make the talk? That's okay you can still enjoy a delicious lunch in the gallery, where you can take in the artwork at your own pace.

About the artist | Sophie Chauncy

Growing up by the banks of the Murrumbidgee, Darlington Point artist Sophie Chauncy is inspired by the energy and beauty of the MIA specifically and rural Australian bushland more broadly. Sophie’s works are a response to her surroundings during the bushwalking element of her process. A process that concerns immersing oneself into the landscape and sourcing found natural materials to inform her work. This exhibition will explore and showcase the trails we take in life and in nature, the animal tracks we’re intrigued to follow, what we find and what we leave behind. I want to explore these little happenings in nature. 

A fresh and delicious lunch will be supplied and alternate meals for those with dietary requirements can be accommodated for.
