The Heats of the Cup are returning to Griffith. Come along and watch all the excitement as the horses race to secure a spot in the finals, the Carnival of Cups, held the following Saturday. Canteen and a fully licensed bar are located on site, as well as a bookmaker and TAB facilities.

Great news for local people: TBB- TRADITIONAL BOOKBINDING is coming to the Library. Bookbinding Exhibition: Bookbinding restoration service- Free inspection available. Old bookbinding tools and books on display, TBB is a bindery based in NE Victoria, specializing in book restoration, aiming to rescue as many old books as possible, so people can preserve them for future generations. As generations change, traditional bookbinding has become a lost art. In order to keep the history of many families and the history of Australia, TBB will be providing free book care advice, so the community can LEARN how to care for & store their books correctly. If anyone's family heirloom books or any books are in need of repair, the book restorers will be providing a free inspection and quote at the exhibition. If you are interested in creating your own book, TBB bookbinders would be happy to make your first project a lot easier by providing suitable suggestions. The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, tells the story of a village that becomes embroiled in a witch hunt. The people of Salem live in a constant state of fear as more and more people are accused of witchcraft. Set in the strictly religious and isolated town of Salem, Massachusetts, the story develops around the witch trials and explores hypocrisy, suspicion, and mass hysteria of the local community. The Crucible examines the fragile nature of truth with each character balancing their own needs and desires.

Staged in the spectacular Cellar Door & Visitor Experience Centre at The Piccolo Family Farm, GRAPA presents this poignant production at a time when the world is battling with its own relationship with fear and truth. The Crucible features a wonderful local cast from Griffith, Leeton and Hillston with veteran performers joining fresh talent on stage!
