IPART seeks feedback on Council's Special Rate Variation

Griffith City Council’s Special Rate Variation submission is now available for review and public submissions direct to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).
IPART has advised it will receive public submissions from today to 18 March 2024 and you can fill out a survey or make a submission via IPART’s website at www.ipart.nsw.gov.au
Griffith is one of nine NSW councils who have applied to IPART to increase their income from rates by more than the rate peg through the special variations process. The other Councils are - Blayney Shire, Goulburn Mulwaree, Kempsey Shire, Narrandera Shire, Randwick City, Snowy Valleys, Tamworth Regional, and Willoughby City councils.
Council applications are assessed against six criteria and IPART considers all stakeholder feedback received.
