State Environmental Planning Policies

The following link provides access to the NSW Department of Planning website as a list of all State Emvironmental Planning Policies (SEPP) that apply to NSW.  This site will provide a brief background to the relevant SEPPs and a link to the NSW Legislation website.  

State Environmental Planning Policies

It should be noted that not all State Environmental Planning Policies apply to the Griffith Local Government area.  Details of the applicable SEPPs are set out in a Section 149(2) certificate which may be obtained from Council.  Please refer to Council's Revenue Policy for the current fee.

Copies of the GLEP 2014 document and maps are available for public inspection or purchase at Council's Customer Service Centre, located on the ground floor of the Griffith City Council Administration Building, 1 Benerembah Street Griffith between 8:15am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

Griffith Land Use Strategy Beyond 2030 Please note that the Griffith Land Use Strategy Beyond 2030 is a large-size file and will take a while to open.

The Griffith Land Use Strategy Beyond 2030 was developed by Griffith City Council over the past few years in close co-operation with the Griffith community, business groups within Griffith and a range of State agencies. The document will function as a flexible guideline to inform future decisions on spatial planning.

Griffith Community Participation Plan

The Griffith Community Participation Plan (CPP) sets out when and how the community will be engaged regarding Council’s planning related functions.
