EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP) PROVIDERS


Expressions of interest are invited from Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providers to proactively support the mental health and wellbeing of our employees at Griffith City Council.

EAP providers are required to work with our employees to assist with diverse range of areas.
Existing Griffith City Council EAP providers are invited to resubmit their details in this process.

Providers, in addressing the key areas of the Expressions of Interest, will:

  • Provide Qualifications in Psychology or Counselling and any other relevant qualifications.
  • Provide a Certificate of Currency for Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • Provide a Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance.
  • Provide a current Working with Children Check.
  • Provide a schedule of fees for EAP services.
  • Demonstrate experience in Psychology or Counselling.
  • Demonstrate appropriate experience and capability to support a diverse range of employees.
  • Have the availability to be able to accept new and ongoing referrals within reasonable timeframes.
  • Have the availability to be able to respond quickly to emergency cases e.g. a critical incident debriefing.
  • Have the availability to undertake consultations through secured video link, teleconferencing, phone or face to face.
  • Have the ability to provide data only feedback for EAP services every six months. This data is to assist in tailoring and evolving EAP services for mentally healthy workplace initiatives.
  • Comply with Council’s EAP policy.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.

Expressions of interest for Council’s Employee Assistance Program are to be submitted in writing addressing the above requirements.

Expression of Interest – Wiradjuri Cultural Awareness Training


Griffith City Council would like to hear from local Aboriginal people or local Aboriginal organisations who are able to deliver Wiradjuri Cultural Awareness Training to Council staff and Councillors.
Suitably qualified applicants will be contracted as Consultants who will deliver small group interactive Workshops which focus on embedding quality Aboriginal culturally safe and appropriate practices into Council’s organisational and service delivery processes.
Workshops would be gradually delivered to all Staff and Councillors in a timetable to be arranged.
Consultants will design the content and format for Workshops, including presentations, handouts, and activities and be responsible for the direct delivery and facilitation of the Workshops.
In particular, Council would like all Council officers to understand the significance of the land and the water within the Wiradjuri country around the City of Griffith. Workshops could include options for using sites of significance within the City of Griffith as training locations in addition to Griffith City Council provided Training Rooms.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The following attributes are essential for Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training Consultants:
• Aboriginality
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in the design and delivery of Cultural Awareness Training
• Sound knowledge of the local Wiradjuri community
• Capacity to ensure the training includes local Aboriginal culture, history and experiences.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering presentations to small groups
• All certification and insurances (ABN, Public Liability Insurance etc) required to operate as a Contractor

Applicants are asked to submit an Expression of Interest containing the following:
• Response to each of the Selection Criteria
• Firm quotation on a Workshop by Workshop basis (including all incidentals)
• Resume
• Contact details for two referees who can attest to capacity to deliver similar programs.
