Volunteering

Griffith City Council long acknowledges that volunteers play a vital component in our social, environmental and cultural well-being which is an integral role in maintaining our vibrant community.

Volunteers have been involved with Griffith City Council, its facilities and specific events for many years. The Volunteer Program attracts people with a range of backgrounds and skills, a shared commitment to facilities, events and a desire to help their community.

Griffith City Council Volunteers bring substantial benefit to:

  • Our visitors by enhancing their experiences and understanding of various facilities, events and exhibitions.
  • Our organisation by bringing specialist advice and skills into the organisation and through the provision of additional support to particular programs.
  • The wider community by providing an avenue for community participation in specific exhibitions or the organisation as a whole.

Griffith City Council has various opportunities for volunteers to be involved in projects ranging from Tidy Towns, Museum, Art Gallery, Leisure, Sports and city Ambassadors, as well as many project based opportunities.

Through volunteering with Griffith City Council it is hoped we can challenge, and meet your expectations of volunteerism. The aim of our volunteer program is to engage people in their local community through numerous means.
